They were going to a son, Machel Parcelay at 116-15 E 105th Street, New York. Kalman listed that he had 4 sons and 2 daughters in the U.S. According to Laura Persily, Fannie told the story that they arrived on July 4th and couldn't land. Nobody on the ship could understand why, and then they began to hear frightening explosions. The next day, when they docked, they were told about the celebrations. Note - Kalman does not have a child named Machel. I am not sure who this person is.^1,4,5
