This branch of the family was lost to all of us in the U.S. until "found" via Jewishgen in 2008. I received an e-mail from Andrew Keith Persily, (son of Bernard Persily) asking if I knew of a way to possibly find out if there were descendents in Argentina of one of Kalman's brother's Joseph, who had supposedly emmigrated there. A note to the listserve of Jewishgen, led me to Re-unir de Amia who contacted me with Syliva Porcelin's phone number.
Andrew, his wife and daughter went to Argentina and had a reunion with her and her mother..... and from there, I was contacted by the rest of the family and they are now a part of our tree.
His name was legally changed to Jose Porcilan.3
Joseph Pertzelai died on 10 March 1961.4 He was buried Amia Cemetery, Buenos Aires, Argentina.4

Escaped to Siberia in WWII.1 According to Ida Persily, Surka and Sara are one and the same. She says there were only 11 children.3 I have a postcard addressed to a Pertzelayim, Sarah Markova. It is to a post office box in Proscuruv and is probably from the late 50's early 60's. The other side is blank. Is this the Surka and the child that remained in Russia?
