     Sam May According to Bill Weisberger, he established and operated, along with Lawrence Leopold, the May and Leopold Co., the finest furniture store in Steubenville. It later would be owned and operated by Gordon Rosenthal, Sr. and Jr. He was born in April 1875 Steubenville, Ohio.^1,2 He was the son of William May and Biena Berry Berg.
     Sam May appeared on the 1880 Federal Census in the household of his parents William May and Biena Berry Berg.
     He a clothing salesman in 1900.³
     Sam May appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Steubenville Ohio in the household of his mother Biena May.⁴
     Sam May appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Steubenville Ohio in the household of his mother Biena Berry Berg.⁵

     Sam May died in 1951.¹
