Our Noschkes Family was from Lvov (Lwow) which at the time they were living there was in the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
David Yahgda ben Yosif was Moshe's grandson and his children formed the split of the Messing-Nash lines. Here in america, the Messing-Nash Family Circle was a way for cousins to keep in touch.
Shimon HaCohen says that the surname Noschkes appears as a family name in the town list of Bad Wurtemburg in Germany in the 1400's. He also found a reference to a woman in Texas named deNosquez, he has been working on the idea that we might have been in Spain before the 1400's. In some Macedonian languages, the name Nashkes, means "our language."
According to the FamilySearch International Genealogical Index, a Meyer Kalman Noschkes was born April 1819 in Lemberg, Galizien Kroenlande, Austria. His father is listed as Josel and his mother as Rifk.
According to notes from Shimon Hacohen (Ted Nash) on the list of Yizkor dates he has below "Yosef" and in parenthasis, "Yitzhak ben moshe David?" I do not know the relationship here. He also lists the women as Golda, Rosa, Hayna (2), Ginadell (2) and Deborah. We also do not know the relationship here except for Shimon and Deborah. This is the list:
"In eternal memory a righteous person is eternally remembered"

Also note according to Shimon (Ted) that many of the Noschkes clan emigrated from Sarajevo and Mostar (Bosnia). David(4th generation) and his family were also there during WWII. He thinks that there may be some connection to this area.
